Help (English)
한국어 도움말 →The whole site can run in English. This page explains how to switch it and how to do the things you will actually need.
1. Read the site in EnglishTap 한국어 | EN at the top — the whole interface switches
At the top of every page (inside the Menu on a phone) there is a 한국어 | EN switch. Tap EN and every menu, button and explanation turns into English. Your choice is remembered on that device, and if you are signed in it follows your account to other devices too.
What members type themselves — notices, match venues, comments — stays in the language it was written in, usually Korean. For those, your browser's translation still helps:
Android (Chrome)
- 1Open the site in Chrome.
- 2A small bar appears at the bottom offering translation. Tap English.
- 3If it does not appear: tap ⋮ (top right) → Translate…
iPhone (Safari)
- 1Open the site in Safari.
- 2Tap ᴀA on the left side of the address bar.
- 3Choose Translate to English.
Computer (Chrome / Edge)
Click the translate icon on the right side of the address bar, or right-click the page and choose Translate to English.
Translation does not work well on people's names. Korean names get turned into odd words. Ask an officer to add your teammates' English names — the member list can show both.
2. Signing inYour name + last 4 digits of your phone number
There is no password for regular members. You sign in with your name and the last four digits of your phone number.
- 1Tap Sign in (로그인) at the top of the screen.
- 2First box — your name, exactly as the club registered it. If you are registered in English (for example Bill), type it in English.
- 3Second box — the last 4 digits of your phone number. For 010-1234-5678, type 5678.
If sign-in fails, your name is probably stored differently from what you typed. Ask the treasurer (총무) or an admin to check — they can register your English name so that either spelling works.
Officers and admins have one extra password step. You choose the password yourself the first time you sign in (8 characters or more).
3. Install the app and turn on notificationsAdd to home screen, then enable alerts
You can add this site to your home screen so it opens like an app. This is required if you want notifications.
Android
- 1Open the download page in Chrome.
- 2Tap the green Install to home screen button.
- 3Open the Hangyeol FC icon that appears on your home screen.
iPhone
- 1You must use Safari. Other browsers do not show the menu below.
- 2Tap the share button at the bottom of the screen.
- 3Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.
- 4Open the Hangyeol FC icon from your home screen.
Turn on notifications
Open the app from the home screen icon, sign in, scroll to the bottom of the first screen, and tap Turn on notifications. Allow it when your phone asks.
iPhone needs iOS 16.4 or newer, and you must open the app from the home screen icon — the setting does not appear in a normal Safari tab. The APK file offered on the same page cannot receive notifications, so use the home screen method.
4. Matches — say if you are comingAttend / Cannot attend, and bringing a friend
After signing in, the first screen shows 다음 경기 (next match) with the date, place and directions.
- 1Tap Attend or Cannot attend.
- 2You can change your answer any time before the match.
Please answer even if you cannot come. The day before a match, the system posts a list of members who have not answered into the club's Telegram group — with their names. Nobody is singling you out; it is automatic. If you tap Cannot attend, you count as answered and your name will not appear.
Match reviews
After a match the manager or coaches often post a short write-up on the match page, sometimes with the tactics board attached. Public ones are collected under 경기 총평 (Match reviews) in the menu.
Bringing a friend
Tap Bring a friend on the next-match card, then enter their name and preferred position. This helps the manager plan the line-up. There is no limit.
Getting there
Each match shows 오시는 길 (directions) with buttons for KakaoMap, Naver Map, TMAP navigation and Copy address. Naver Map and KakaoMap are the two map apps most people use in Korea.

6. Roles in the clubWho can do what
Three separate things, and one person can have all of them.
- 등급 Grade — 신입 (new) / 정회원 (regular) / 임원 (officer). Officers can approve guest players and see the ledger. From 정회원upwards you can also see everyone's phone number in the member list; new members cannot.
- 직책 Position in the club — 회장 (president), 부회장 (vice president), 고문 (advisor), 감독 (manager), 코치 (coach), 주장 (captain), 총무 (treasurer) and others. Only the treasurer can mark dues as paid. The manager, coaches and technical director can post match reviews.
- 앱 권한 App permission — 관리자 (admin) can edit the member list, create matches and write notices.
Editing the tactics board, checking attendance and approving guest players are open to officers and anyone with a club position — you do not need to be an admin.
7. Still stuck?Who to ask
Sign in and use Suggestions (건의하기) to message an officer directly, or just ask in the club chat. If something in the app is confusing or broken, please say so — the site is still being improved and feedback is welcome.
The Korean version of this guide has more detail for officers: 한국어 도움말. That page is written in Korean only, so use your browser's translation on it.
